Repairs and Maintenance to Aids to Navigation
The seaward ends of groynes and other structures are are marked with Aids to Navigation (A to N) to comply with Trinity House Lighthouse Service (THLS) navigational requirements. A to N typically consist of markers atop posts, which are fixed to the groyne or other structure. The A to N are in exposed environments and over time, their condition can deteriorate. The aims are to carry out repair works to bring existing, long standing, A to N up to required THLS standards on the Suffolk Coastal District Council frontages at north Felixstowe and Bawdsey.
