Network Rail owns a section of land between Folkestone and Dover along the Folkestone Warren. The site is used by the general public and Network Rail is required to ensure the site is kept as safe as possible. Large volumes of chalk that have fallen from the cliffs in the area have breached the existing catch fence and have come to rest on the public walkway. Network Rail is looking to clear approximately 70 cubic metres of material from behind the catch fence and walkway and to dispose of it into a large void at the end of the sea wall (see attached document for images).
